Each attending group WILL PERFORM from 4-6 PM !

Located just off of exit 5 (Northfield) from interstate 89,

take route 64 down the mountain into Williamstown.

(Approx. 5-6 miles)

(You will be ON a sharp right hand turn, Before a narrow bridge)

Take this LEFT on to "Brush Hill Rd"

The elementary school is just up the road on the right!

THERE WILL BE:

HARD & SOFT SOLED IRISH STEP,

LINE DANCING,

SWING DANCING ,

SQUARE DANCING,

CONTRA DANCING

AND ALL TYPES OF CLOGGING!!

Our goal is to keep the love for Western & Folk dancing alive!
Please join us on this exciting day in VERMONT !

We also will have a raffle of hand made items from the sponsoring group, as well as a 50/50 raffle!

Snacks and drinks will be available on site for purchase

Each group or studio is given a chance to set up a table to promote your team.

THIS GIVES GROUP INSTRUCTORS A CHANCE TO INSTRUCT OTHER DANCERS AND SHARE THEIR OWN GROUP CHOREOGRAPHED ROUTINES!

THERE WILL BE CHOREOGRAPHED ROUTINES, TAUGHT BY SOME OF OUR VERY OWN GROUP INSTRUCTORS FROM AROUND VT, M.E, NY, M.A & NH

We were so happy to have them instruct at our 2009 workshop, we asked them to come back again to teach us some more great routines in 2010! Their demonstrations were fablous and really got us clapping our hands and tapping our toes!

The " Step in' Time" Line Dancers of Central Vermont were originally formed by three from Randolph, to perform for the annual Mud Season Variety Show, at Chandler Music Hall. Since that debut performance in April of 2003, their group has grown to about 15 dancers from Orange, Washington, and Windsor counties, and does approximately 20 performances/workshops per year.

The Step n' Time dancers will conduct instruction at our workshop as well as join in the fun of the evening demonstrations as well!

CLOGGING:

(The Green Mountain Cloggers Exhibition Dance Team also will instruct beginner level routines for the workshop, and perform in the demonstrations.)

Hillary Barcomb, the GMCEDT group instructor will teach the basics on learning how to clog. She has experience instructing for the past 17 years, and really enjoys working with new folks interested in her style of dance!

Beth Anne McFadden

& The McFadden Academy of Irish Dance

The McFadden Academy of Irish Dance was established in 2008 by Beth Anne McFadden T.C.R.G. Beth Anne has been involved in Irish dancing since 1993. She competed with the Mulvihill-Lynch School in Long Island, New York for 11 years. During her dancing career she attended many regional, national and world competitions, sometimes ranking among the top dancers in the Eastern Region. She graduated from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut with a Bachelor’s degree in English.

Beth Anne became certified through An Coimisiun in Dublin, Ireland in March 2007 and spentق years teaching with the Hagen School of Irish Dance in Long Beach, New York. She is very excited to bring her knowledge and love of Irish dance to the children of Vermont.

Wild Country Dance Studio

John Morton - Per Diem/Outreach Instructor: John started learning clogging at age ten when he joined the Dance Ranch Cloggers under the instruction of his mother, Rhoda. He danced with the group for about twelve years, playing the role of teen instructor/choreographer. At the end of 2004, Rhoda handed the reigns of the group over to him and in 2005, the group was renamed Wild Country Cloggers. After four years of operation, in 2009, John decided to take his club one step further and formed Wild Country Dance Studio, Inc.; with a new focus in mind of one day offering other forms of dance along with clogging.

Shannon Morton - Advanced Instructor: Shannon has been with WCC/WCDS since 2005, she signed on as just a dancer. After nearly 15 years with the Hill Country Cloggers of Upstate New York, she moved to the Bennington area and joined to merely save on gas. Since her inital entry, she has given so much to the members of our company and now handles most of our competition directorial duties.

We are excited to have them with us this year as we have attended their workshop in the past and had a great time! We thank them for attending and offering there experience instructing this year at our event!

Wes & Sally Blair: Basic Swing & Line Dancing

Wes and Sally are country line/partner dance instructors in northern Vermont and have been instructing for 17 years.

They have taught line dancing in Canada, New York, and New Hampshire. They also teach 2-Step, waltz, swing and many, many couples dances. They teach beginner to more advance dances. They keep it easy and fun. Sally has choreographed many dances, both line and for couples.

This team will be perfect for the new line dancers, and for those wishing to begin learning how to line dance.Their fun style and easy learning choreography will be perfect for everyone!
