Our organization is ALWAYS accepting new dancers of any age and dance level! We do not "charge" for our lessons. So......what do you have to loose? (Except for a few pounds & inches off your waist!)
Our mission is to provide quality clogging instruction and enjoyable,
wholesome, family-oriented entertainment; to promote self-esteem,
build self-confidence and develop relationships.
Our goal is to assist all dancers to be the best they can be.
Give us a try! There is NO obligation. Starting November 2, 2009 classes will be on Mondays in Barre at "Green Mountain Tavern" from 6-8 pm

Our Irish step classes are ALOT of fun, and offered at an instructional level ,sure to get even the most "unsure" dancer at heart out on the floor! Did you know you can burn OVER�� calories PER HOUR,clogging!! Our classes are PROVEN to: relieve stress, tone muscle, provide flexability, help coordination and balance, and increase stamina. So why pay for those expensive gym aerobic classes? You can come, meet us, make new friends, and learn a dance that offers traditional clogging, with a history that dates back to the 1800's, with partner dances such as swing, square dancing, or country line dancing!! OR our modern clogging classes that blend, hip hop, jazz, tap, gymnastics, and cheerleading,that can even keep you up to beat with your kids new moves!! Beginner level's available ! Already know, tap dancing or Clogging?
Further your experience, in our Intermediate and Advanced levels!! Our group specializes in clogging, but also offers may other styles of dancemixed into our routines!
What we do is unlike any other dance group in the state of Vermont.
I love clogging, but I also love what other dance styles have to offer to the more modern cloggers. I also teach traditional line, Jig, and Appalachian, Canadian, Buck and Irish style clogging.
Hi Hillary, The girls are enjoying themselves tremendously at your classes.Thank you sooooo much for letting Jenna borrow the shoes - he hasn't stopped practicing all evening. I'm pretty sure the neighbors are less then impressed with us though, but who gives a hoot we are moving in a month or so anyways. Have you ever considered having a second night a week of practice - working with just the begginers???? Like - branch out - If I could get you enough students and a decent rate for a place to hold practice - would u consider it???? You are good at what you do. You should make a career at it. NC- I was not exactly welcomed with open arms. I was
the "new girl" from out of town and It was kinda hard
for me oh- the first year...lol. To come into your
group and for people to be happy I'm there really

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
*~ WE WELCOME ANYONE ages 7-70, male or female, children OR family's!!
We now offer an instructional clogging DVD for both Beginner, and Advanced classes!!
This DVD is a take home reference of steps learned from class, right from the first class, up to what you will be learning a year from now!!
These DVD's are FREE to our members.They help dancers to practice from home, so learning together with us, in a classroom atmosphere is more comfortable, and beneficial.
Every dancer is required to practice from home in order to progress!
Parents are more than welcome to come and sit and watch , or JOIN US!!
We love all the dancers we can get!! The more the merrier!!
Experienced dancers encouraged!
BUT.. we can teach any one, with a little rhythm, the will power to learn....... and spunk for dance!
*~ Progressing to advanced levels is
based upon performers commitment willingness.
Any one can dance if there heart is in to it!
It really does show in your performance if you are not enjoying yourself.
*~ The GMCEDT members are all very relaxed, and we offer
not only great dance skills, but a lot of fun, and many friends.
What I really love about this group is that it is unlike any other.
When their are issues, we ALL sit down before a practice and talk about it.
It helps us all to get to know each other better, and helps to NOT create those "clicks" we all hear about.
We communicate better with one another in and out of clogging, and in the long run that makes for happy dancers! It helps us to have a great time with one another while we are all learning and dancing together.We often communicate about daily questions or issues that arrise over the e-mail too. I feel this is a great way to break the ice on a problem. Now that we have an established manner of handling issues I sometimes will over hear the dancers discussing personal issues with each other. This is great, because it shows me how close, and comfortable we all are with one another.
*~ The group does request a donation for each practice.
Requested upon the first practice of each month.
(The donation is based upon the dancers financial ability.)
Requested MONTHLY donations are $15.00 per member, never to exceed a requested donation of $30.00 for family's of ANY size!!
This donation includes Irish step AND Clogging lessons at BOTH studio locations each week.
The donations go to rental space at the studio's where we instruct our classes, and to the purchase of music, and making copies of cd’s, and DVD's, advertising in 4 local papers, purchase of new / extra costumes, our web site fee's, and google fee's, business cards, t-shirts, car decals, group banner, and stereo equipment. Office needs such as, paper ink, pens, tape, staples, ect... As well as car pooling for travel to performances, or classes.
The group uses the funds that are paid on the first of each month, regardless of attendance level for that current month.
*~ Uniforms
Consisting of a green sequence vest, and black pants for male dancers, and black skirts for female dancers.
These uniforms are supplied FREE by this organization, provided a "Costume & Shoe Disclaimer Form" has been signed.
(This form states that the items in the performers possession must be returned by two weeks after the member has left our organization, or the full cost of the items must be paid in full.)
Undergarments purchased and worn by performers such as black tank tops, black nylons, and black "bloomers", are NOT included in our costumes, or the disclaimer form.
*~ Our group does have a limited amount of shoes available for dancers to wear at lessons and performances, but we do suggest purchasing your own pair as soon as it is financially possible.
